A nationwide oversupply of Cabernet grapes has led to better quality Cabernet fruit making its way into wines like this cleanskin driving up flavour in the process. This medium bodied Cabernet is ripe & blackberry soaked with good firm Cabernet flavours & long tannins.
This bright red is quixotically sourced from our largest brewery but its all the better for it. A medium bodied red with smooth surprisingly polished Cabernet fruit flavours. Top value wine.

(Karadoc Vic) This gold medal winning Cabernet is absolutely full to the brim with ripe choco berrry fruit and oak characters with a super smooth velvety smooth and generous mouthfeel of real appeal. Big and slippery. 'This wine doesn't come from anywhere other than 'select vineyards' in Australia but at the price it's well worth hooking into. It's full of sweet juicy berried flavour and even carries a lick of toasty oak. It's hardly going to win any medals for sophistication but it delivers in spades at the price.' Campbell Mattinson

(Riverland SA) Through use of innovative winemaking techniques the winemakers at Hardys have been able to craft the No Preservatives Added range without the use of any additives for pure drinking pleasure.Vineyards in the vicinity of the winery are machine harvested in the cool of the night to reduce the risk of oxidation. The fruit is picked at the riper end of the spectrum as fully ripe grapes give fullness of flavour and more balanced acidity. The overriding principle of the winemaking process is at all stages to minimise the handling of the fruit and wine.
(Mclaren Vale & Coonawarra SA) 'Juicy Blackberry flavour comes through on the front of the palate and mint licorice and maraschino cherry characters combine with spicy oak on the middle palate. Flinty tannins feature at the finish.' Newcastle Herald

(Margaret River WA)'This wine honours the settlers of the remote southwest corner of Western Australia looking for a new life (Vita Novus). Margaret River is renowned for its Cabernet and this is a good example of cassis forward fruit combined with subtle tannins retaining the Margaret River terroir of spice and mint. For those of you who like green capsicum flavours in Cabernet: this wine is not for you but if you enjoy forest berries and a hint of mint then you will like this wine very much. Drink it young or cellar it properly this is a wine worth drinking. Enjoy! Australian Gourmet Pages Newsletter Franz Scheurer
